Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Easy Mode, operated from Cyprus (European Union), is the data controller. Contact for anything privacy-related: hello@easymode.trade.

2. What we collect and why

Account: your email address, your password (stored only as an Argon2id hash — we cannot read it) and your TradingView username. Needed to create the account, to let you log in, and to grant the invite-only indicators to the right TradingView user. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.

Tracker data: the prop-firm accounts and figures you choose to add (firm, size, balance, dates). Needed to show you the tracker. Legal basis: contract.

Security log: for sensitive account actions we record the action, the time, your IP address and your browser string. Needed to detect abuse and account takeovers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure.

Web server logs: the standard access log (IP, URL, time, status). Needed to keep the service running and to investigate incidents. Deleted automatically after at most seven days. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Nothing else. We do not collect names, phone numbers, addresses, payment details, broker credentials or trading account access.

3. What stays in your browser

Your trading journal is stored only in your browser (local storage on your device). It is never sent to our servers, which also means we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data or switch devices — export it if you rely on it.

Your session tokens, language preference and favourite tools are also kept in local storage. These are strictly functional; they are not used to track you.

We set no cookies and load no third-party scripts, analytics, advertising or social-media pixels. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

4. Where your data lives

Our servers are hosted by OVHcloud in Beauharnois, Québec, Canada. Canada benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision, so this transfer is permitted under the GDPR without additional safeguards.

Domain name and inbound email routing are provided by Cloudflare. Cloudflare does not process your account data.

Encrypted database backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

5. Who we share it with

Nobody, for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

When you click an affiliate link to a prop firm, you leave Easy Mode; the firm knows the visit came through our link, but receives no data from your Easy Mode account. What you then give the firm is governed by that firm's privacy policy.

We would disclose data only if legally required to (for example a court order), and only what is required.

6. How long we keep it

Account and tracker data: until you delete your account. Deletion removes your user record and your data from the live database immediately; copies in backups disappear within 30 days as backups rotate.

Security log: 12 months, after which the IP address and browser string are erased. Web server logs: at most seven days. Journal: never on our side — it only exists on your device.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correct it, receive a copy in a portable format, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing. From Settings you can export your data and delete your account yourself, instantly. For anything else, email us; we answer within 30 days.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Cyprus, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy), or the authority of the EU country where you live.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Servers are firewalled, patched automatically, and audited daily by an automated security check. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Age

Easy Mode is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and for meaningful changes we will tell you inside the platform. We will never quietly start collecting something this page does not mention.
